The small files and browser storage the platform uses, what each is for, and how to turn analytics off.
Analytics: on by default, easy to turn off
We use PostHog to see how the platform is used so we can improve it. It is anonymised: you appear as a random reference number, never your name or email; your IP address is discarded; what you type is masked in recordings; recordings are deleted after 30 days. Because it is only used to improve the platform, it is on unless you turn it off. Turning it off changes nothing else about how the platform works.
Analytics is not running in this browser.
The choice is saved in this browser. If you use another browser or device, set it there too.
What we set
| Name | What it is for | How long |
|---|---|---|
sb-…-auth-token | Keeps you signed in (strictly necessary) | Until you sign out, refreshed while you use the platform |
workspace | Remembers which workspace you were last in (strictly necessary for consultants in more than one) | 1 year |
setup_hidden | Hides the setup checklist after you close it | Until you close the browser |
ph_…_posthog | PostHog analytics: a random reference number for this browser and the current visit | 1 year |
__ph_opt_in_out_… | Remembers that you turned analytics off | 1 year |
| Browser storage (loop.…) | Small preferences, such as whether you have already seen your new score animate or hidden a help panel | Until you clear your browser |
We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not let anyone else set cookies on the platform. Sentry, which tells us when something breaks, sets no cookies. More about how we handle data is in our privacy notice.
